Developing a method to reduce the volatility of digital assets to enable its use in a supply chain

  • A supply chain is a network that involves people, activities, entities, information and resources to manufacture and distribute a desired product. It includes the entire prcess from the procurement of raw material to the production of the product and then finally the distribution to the intended buyers. There is a lack of trust between the different partners in the supply chain which can be solved by the implementation of digital assets. But these assets themselves are volatile and this volatility needs to be removed to enable its use in a supply chain. This thesis, firstly provides the definition of the basic concepts of the technology. The existing strategies will be then discussed. Their individual strengths and weaknesses will be evaluated and a new optimized method will be finally devised by aggregating the strengths of these strategies within a specific framework.
