Industry 4.0 in Small and Medium sized Enterprises: Analysis of the technological and implementation gap in comparison to Multinational companies

  • This work starts with the basics of Industry 4.0 and discusses about the advantages, challenges and the various implementation models used for the adoption of Indutry 4.0 technologies in MNCs. Through literature survey, the different methods used for implementing Industry 4.0 in SMEs are explored. After comparing the different methods and models used by the SMEs, a suitable research direction that helps for a faster adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies in SMEs is discussed.
